Just a typical Sunday

Before kids I LOVED watching red carpet shows! So I decided that after a WHOLE weekend of watching football I decided to take things in to my own hands.

Enter multi tasking..... feeding the kids, enjoying a glass of wine and watching the Emmy's Red Carpet!

And THEN things got interesting....

After giving the kids a bath I asked Jason to put Jack in his PJs while I dressed Wyatt.
This is what I found.
Yep, those are Wyatt's PJs on Jack. Never thought that was possible!
Wyatt decided he was NOT going to share.

It's safe to say that Jack's life is about to change very soon.

Scolding

scold·ing
ˈskōldiNG/
noun
  1. 1.
    an angry rebuke or reprimand

That's what I received FROM JACK. Say what???????  I wasn't ready for that one! Man he is only 2-1/2 GOING ON 30!

    Here's the story...

Friday after getting back to the gym after a TWO WEEK (yes two) hiatus.

THEN going to the grocery store with a screaming baby. (yes screamed through the entire trip)

Oh and did I mention it was pouring down rain when we walked out??? YEAH IT WAS AWESOME

Ok... I'll get on with it. So we are ALMOST home and I completely zoned out listening to music and the I hear, "Mommy! Answer me! I am talking to you!" What? Say What???

He then went on to tell me that he asked me what kind on truck just went by and that it wasn't very nice that I didn't respond to him....

I then put my tail between my legs and apologized over and over telling him how right he was... of course he asked why and who knows what I came up for that one.

Guess I need to get on top of my game..... Yikes! I've said this once and I will say it again. He is way too smart.....I'm in trouble...

PLEASE EXCUSE THE MESS....

…. Story of my life.
But you know what… I am so over that!
Hi my name is Emily Buckland and my house is a mess.
Sometimes I feel like I should have anyone who walks into our house sign a liability release for the chance that they could step on a little car. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!
As Jack would say, “We play hard.”  It has taken me quite a while to get used to the stay at home mom routine with two kids, but I’ve got this gig under control now! I mean it only took me a year… YIKES!

I have noticed that the days I really go in to clean up mode are the days I feel so sad because I barely got to play with my boys! Now, don’t get me wrong, I know that doesn’t mean if you have a super clean house that means you never play with your kids. But in my house that pretty much goes hand and hand. I’ve NEVER been the most organized person and I do enjoy my quiet alone time during naptime occasionally. In my life sitting still without answering a “why” question in GOLDEN!

WRAP UP….

I am making a major effort to take a moment at the end of the day EVERY DAY to look around and see how much fun we had instead of what a mess we had.
It’s the little things, and I plan to treasure them! They will be old enough for chores soon enough ;)
