Selective Hearing

By Definition:

Selective hearing is a way of describing the tendency of some people to ignore things that they don’t want to hear. It is not a physiological condition, as they are physically hearing the words, but their minds choose not to acknowledge the words. In many cases, the conscious mind does not appear to receive the information, so it is different than an active ignoring of speech. Instead, it is a sort of selective inattention that may be done consciously or subconsciously. Classically, selective hearing is an attribute people associated with MEN. no kidding

My morning began by waking up EARLY and getting in the shower. As soon as I finished rinsing out that last bit of conditioner I heard, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH."

The first thought....CRAP

The second thought...um how is it that I can hear him perfectly over running water and the fan???

= men = selective hearing

The third thought...Gosh if God is a man I am screwed.....he probably isn't listening to a word I say..... ;)

Luckily Jack kept himself busy this morning while I dried my hair!

Please notice the headband he is trying to put on his head :)
